The cup horn can process multiple sealed tubes or vessels at one time without contact with an ultrasonic probe.
This method eliminates cross contamination, sample foaming, overheating and aerosolization which can all occur when using a probe. Most importantly the cup horn enables you to process smaller samples than compared to using a probe.
The cup horn works well for many applications including cell lysis, homogenization, protein extraction and particle dispersion.
The VCX 1500 now features a higher intensity probe capable of processing larger volumes faster and more effectively than before.
When used in the standard configuration, with a booster, the probe delivers a powerful 100um amplitude. This probe is 10” long and has a 1” tip diameter.
The sound enclosure has been improved. It is now made of steel with a plexiglass window. Samples can be viewed while being processed.
The VCX 1500HV package is the 1500 watt ultrasonic processor with Flow Cell. New for 2022 is a chiller to help keep the Flow Cell cool and prevent samples from overheating.
